As a responsible tipi hire and event business, we understand the importance of minimising our environmental impact. In 2023, we currently travel 80 miles to provide our clients with our services from our base in Windsor. However, we remain dedicated to reducing our carbon footprint and have set an ambitious target to decrease our radius by 10 miles yearly.
Why are we reducing our service area?
At the core of our business, we are committed to sustainability. We recognised early on that expanding endlessly to cater to more clients that are further away conflicts with this core value. As a result, we have shifted our focus towards minimising our environmental impact while still providing exceptional tipi events to our clients.
To achieve this goal, we have developed a five-year plan with a clear roadmap for reducing our serviceable area by 50%. By 2027, we aim to limit our coverage to a 40-mile radius for 95% of our events, significantly reducing the area we cover from 20,106 square miles to 5,027 square miles. This reduction will translate into fewer miles driven, fewer emissions, and more opportunities to incorporate electric vehicles into our operations.
To further enhance our sustainability efforts, we are exploring additional measures to reduce waste, promote the use of sustainable materials, and invest in renewable energy or conservation projects to offset our carbon footprint. Our ultimate goal is to provide exceptional tipi events while minimising our environmental impact and leading by example in promoting sustainable business practices.
